HEP is always in need of generous donations from community members like you, and no donation or gift is too small to help. Here are some of the ways that you can make a donation that will impact the lives of the homeless individuals, families and Veterans at HEP:
Make a food donation
Each year HEP serves more than 95,000 meals in our state-of-the-art dining hall. The food service staff is always in need of all kinds of food items including canned and fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, dairy, canned tomato sauce, dry pasta and rice, cereal, oatmeal, and condiments – and more.
Donate to the HEP Thrift Store
The HEP Thrift Store is a 13,000 square foot treasure chest filled with gently loved items from antique furniture to one-of-a-kind collectibles and fantastic clothing. Donations are tax-deductible and 100% of the proceeds from items sold benefit HEP’s programs and services. Residents are also provided with clothing and personal household items – free of charge – from the Thrift Store. There’s a different sale every day – click here to see our Daily Deals!
All Items available in the thrift store are direct donations to HEP and are tax-deductible with all proceeds going directly into HEP’s operating fund. Store hours are Monday – Saturday, 10:00am – 6:00pm.
The store is located at on our campus at 1212 North Betty Lane, Clearwater
Donate personal care items
When clients first arrive at HEP, they are often in need of basic personal care items such as shampoo and conditioner, bar soap, toothpaste, shaving cream/razors and feminine hygiene products. HEP does allocate a budget for such items, but donations from the local community are still needed.
Share your time and talents
Many programs at HEP, like the HEP Dental Clinic, operate with help from highly qualified and generous volunteers. We are seeking practicing or retired volunteers with professional experience in the following fields:
- Resume assistance
- Vocational training
- Budget training
- And more!
If you are interested in donating in any of these ways, please contact Liz Mooney at 727.442.9041 ext. 110 or LizM@HEPempowers.org.
