Welcome to the Homeless Empowerment Program‘s Urban Empowerment Garden, consisting of an inground organic garden, vertical garden, and now introducing our new Mobile Market!

Since 1986, HEP’s mission has been to provide homeless and low-income individuals and families, including veterans, with housing, food, clothing and support services necessary to obtain self-sufficiency and improved quality of life, breaking the cycle of homelessness for the thousands of people we serve each year.

HEP’s Urban Empowerment Garden supplies the HEP Kitchen and Dining Hall with fresh nutrient dense produce for our residents to enjoy in our salad bar and warm meals served daily. Both garden’s also serve as a wonderful therapeutic outlet for our Veterans residents and community volunteers.
